Genesis G90, the top model in the range, gets an update for 2019
During the first half of 2019 the first Genesis G90s will be delivered, arriving in the new year with significant styling and technology updates

The Genesis G90 has become the most elegant and powerful model in the Premium brand of Hyundai, and they wanted to prove it at an event held in Seoul, where they unveiled the styling and equipment updates prepared to give it a boost for 2019. And, without a doubt, they managed to surprise us all.
The exterior design of the Genesis G90 has undergone quite a striking change, thanks to a reshaped front grille, along with a new headlight design. These have become two strips divided by the turn signals, each with four points of light to improve visibility and give the model a more effective light signature.

At the front we find an update that gives it a somewhat more aggressive look, while the rear lights are larger and have a more stylised shape. A more efficient exhaust and 19-inch alloy wheels add a different aesthetic touch to a model designed to impress.

Moving from the exterior to the interior, the revamp of the Genesis G90 has kept a look close to the version it replaces. The lines have been refined in some areas, and technology has been added to improve the safety of driver and passengers. Among these, work has been done on the information and entertainment system, controlled by a 12.3-inch screen and greater connectivity with mobile devices.
From now on, the Genesis G90 will come with active safety systems such as active noise cancellation, adaptive suspension control with electronic damping, and a system that detects external pollution levels and seals the vehicle so the cabin air can be recirculated and respiratory problems avoided.

The safety systems fitted to the Genesis models are all present, so driving one of these cars provides a very substantial level of safety when travelling in this executive saloon. As for engines, there are no immediate plans to electrify this model, so we will have to settle for a 3.3-litre twin-turbo V6 engine delivering 365 CV and a maximum torque of 510 Nm.
A step up will include a 5.0-litre V8 engine with 420 CV and maximum torque of 520 Nm. Both versions are destined for the local and US markets, where it will arrive during the first half of 2019. The starting price is set at 72,000 dollars, which at current exchange rates would be around 62,000 euros.
