Gran Turismo 7 arrives for the new PlayStation 5, ready to win over even the most dedicated petrolheads

Gran Turismo has just announced the arrival of its seventh instalment alongside the new PlayStation 5, making it one of the first compatible games.

Gran Turismo 7 Ps5 1

If you are a true motoring enthusiast, we are convinced that your home will feature a generous collection of motoring merchandise. Films, model kits, posters of that car you so badly want to fill your garage… Many items have been created from this acclaimed sector, but we must not overlook one of the most sought-after: video games. And so the Gran Turismo franchise returns with Gran Turismo 7, which has been released as one of the first games compatible with the newly unveiled PlayStation 5.

And who hasn’t spent countless hours with this video game during their childhood? We all surely remember with nostalgia those days when you bought your first Ferrari in Gran Turismo 3 or unlocked the coveted barchettas. But the world moves on, and with it the technology that drives it, and therefore the video game segment.

The seventh instalment is presented with a brief but intense trailer in which the indispensable protagonist remains the same: the car. However, better graphics, a more authentic presentation and a roster of vehicles that promises to be remarkably complete arrive to make clear that, although the Gran Turismo DNA remains intact, things have changed a great deal for the better.

At first, and as the franchise has accustomed us, we find competitions of every kind. From a race in which you can only take part with a BAC Mono to one in which you will race supercars from the early 2000s or the late 1990s, these are some of the proposals of Gran Turismo 7 to ensure fun and entertainment for players.

Of course, they have not dispensed with the tuning shops or the garage either, where we can store every single vehicle we acquire throughout the game. GT Town will now be the city we roam through during our adventures as drivers, and from which we can access the various menus that GT 7 will offer.

For now, the trailer previews an unfinished version of the video game, so once it goes on sale we may encounter various surprises. Either way, we unreservedly applaud the arrival of this seventh edition of Gran Turismo, one of those video games that should be in the collection of every true lover of both PlayStation and cars.
