Hennessey has fun with the McLaren 600LT and gives it 800 hp
Hennessey has worked on the first McLaren 600LT to arrive in the United States and is giving it 800 hp to make it a model to be reckoned with

At the end of 2018, the first McLaren 600LT arrived in the United States and its destination was the vehicle customisation company based in Texas, Hennessey. The purpose of having this model from the British brand was to carry out a series of modifications to give it a number of very important features and create a more impactful version. And this is the result, two months later.
To make clear what we can expect from this car, here is the nickname it has been given: HPE800. If we take into account that other models modified by Hennessey, such as the Cadillac Escalade, the Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 and the Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat, have also received this designation and have achieved 800 hp, we can already imagine where this is heading.

The standard McLaren 600LT features a twin-turbo 3.8-litre V8 engine and delivers 592 hp and a peak torque of 620 Nm, which are already quite impressive figures. But with the modification made to this engine and the presumed power of 800 hp, this model, which initially sits below the brand’s most powerful models, will be able to rival the McLaren 720S and the McLaren Senna. These models offer 710 and 789 hp respectively, so it would be slightly below Hennessey’s version.
With the standard power and torque, a 0 to 100 km/h acceleration time of 2.9 seconds is achieved, and it offers a top speed of 328 km/h. If we take into account the modifications made and the added power, we could find even more spectacular performance figures. We will have to wait a little to discover all the features of this variant, the McLaren 600LT with 800 hp, which for the time being is a one-off model and does not yet have a final price. What we can say for now is that it will certainly not be cheap.
