Opel Zafira-e Electric Cars Comerciales
Here comes the Opel Crosscamp Flex, the electric camper for enjoying the outdoors in a sustainable way
Opel has unveiled its electric camper van concept, which can accommodate four people and will go into production from the first half of 2023.

Camper vans are making their way into the preferences of users. And it was inevitable that electric vans would end up taking a share of the market, thanks to the improvements made over the last few years. Opel has presented the Crosscamp Flex, an electric camper van based on the Opel Zafira e-life.
The engineers at the German brand have based it on the version of the model with a 75 kWh battery. The model it is based on achieves a range of 322 kilometres under the WLTP homologation cycle, although this variant is expected to reduce that figure due to the extra weight of the equipment and the changes to the bodywork, which affect its aerodynamic performance.

The engine used in this variant is the same as the one in the base van. This means it has 100 kW, although it will also suffer a penalty in this regard due to its increased weight. The charging system allows the battery to reach 80% in 48 minutes, so the full charge can be recovered in a short time and the journey can continue with it.

Something important for users is knowing that, in addition to the main battery, Opel has added a second 95 Ah battery. This is the one that supplies power to the occupants during camping. With it, you can power the camper’s lighting and charge mobile devices via a USB-C port.
Equipment for four people
Inside, you will find everything needed for four people to enjoy their free time in this vehicle designed for leisure. This includes a kitchen with a gas hob, a sink and a pantry. In addition, it will have front seats that can swivel 180º. The four occupants will also be able to sleep comfortably inside.
According to Opel, this electric camper model will enter production during the first half of 2023. What Opel has not added to the information is the sale price of the vehicle, so we will have to wait a little to find out this detail.
