How to Disguise a Mercedes ML as a Honda CR-V

Many people who could afford a car considered far inferior choose to “look” more prosperous by making certain modifications. We all know this, especially those “tuners” who are able to turn, for example, a Peugeot 407 Coupé into a whole Ferrari F430, at least aesthetically.
So far, all more or less correct. What is truly unthinkable is buying, for example, a Mercedes ML and transforming it into a car that is considered inferior, such as the Honda CR-V. However, everything has an explanation, especially when the car you are now going to enjoy has been paid for by all taxpayers. Truly, we may be facing the height of brazenness.
What I am trying to explain to you has a lot to do with the latest images coming out of China, where the local police will now be able to “show off” on the streets of the capital aboard a magnificent imported Mercedes ML. The curious thing is precisely that they have decided to replace all the badges of the German brand with less conspicuous ones, like those corresponding to a Honda CR-V.
According to the Chinese site auto.163.com, naturally, the police force itself was in charge of removing all the badges, once again, supposedly to deceive taxpayers, we believe, so that they would not rise up against such brazen spending of public funds. Such is the audacity that, in China, the ML350 you see on screen has a price of 98,000 euros at the current exchange rate, while an SUV like the CR-V they are trying to imitate sells for “only” 22,000 euros at the current exchange rate.
