Have you ever had to fill in an amicable accident report? We know that one of the most stressful moments for drivers comes after a minor accident, when they have to deal with the paperwork. Even if the other driver has admitted fault, it is essential to have all the contact details of the other vehicle and to record them in the right place so that the insurance companies can reach an agreement.
The Guardia Civil has published on its social media profiles the perfect ‘cheat sheet’ for filling in an amicable accident report. Take note, because you never know what might happen. The amicable accident report is the easiest way to declare an accident involving several vehicles. This procedure must be completed whenever there is another party involved, even if the damage is minor.

How to Fill In an Amicable Accident Report
Everyone knows it as the amicable report, but its official name is Amicable Accident Claim Form or European Accident Statement. This form is a document in which both parties state what happened, the damage suffered by both vehicles and the personal details of the drivers. This makes it easier for insurance companies to determine who is at fault and to compensate the costs arising from the accident.
There is an official, standardised amicable accident report form for almost all European Union countries, with the only difference that in each country it is written in its official language. This uniformity means that if we have an accident in any EU country, the procedures are easier. The Guardia Civil has published on its Twitter account some tips for filling in the amicable report.
