How to find a good car insurance policy that is easy to manage, affordable and efficient
There are several types of car insurance policies depending on the coverage they offer, but you need to look for a company that makes the process of taking out a policy easy to manage.

One of the things to consider when owning a car is compulsory insurance. We know that without it you cannot drive on the road and that it protects us against any incident. It is important to have effective insurance for our car, one that covers us in the event of a claim and prevents us from having to pay a significant amount of money for any liability.
Insurance tends to be expensive, policies are cumbersome and you have to read them very carefully to know exactly what they cover. It is important to have a company that offers information that is simple to understand, with all the coverage explained and, if its cost is low as well, even better. That is why you should always go for the best car insurance.

Types of policy
Among the things to keep in mind are the different types of policy. Not all of them are the same or cover the same claims. There are basic policies that only cover damage to third parties, and others that start from this premise but add extra coverage. Let us briefly review the types of policies so you can choose the one that best suits your needs.
Third-party car insurance
This is the most common and the most basic of all of them. This policy covers damage to other vehicles when a claim occurs for which we are responsible. Normally, this policy includes basic roadside assistance and legal defence coverage, including criminal defence where applicable. In some cases, a sum of money is included for the driver in the event of death or permanent disability.
That said, there are cases in which the coverage is not valid. For example, if the damage was caused intentionally, if the permitted alcohol limits are exceeded, if you take part in a race, or if you do not hold a valid driving licence.

Extended third-party car insurance
This type of insurance is an extension of third-party insurance. These policies usually add theft of the vehicle, fire damage and broken windows. With these additional coverages you can feel more secure should any of these claims occur. In addition, some companies offering a car insurance policy have extra benefits, such as claims arising from collisions with animals, and the purchase value is maintained for two years.
The cases in which the coverage is not valid are the same as in the previous case.
Comprehensive car insurance
This insurance protects both your own vehicle and a third party’s vehicle in the event of a claim. It is usually chosen when you have a new car and want peace of mind in every respect. It covers any claim, even when the car is parked, which makes it the ideal coverage.
In some cases an excess of a certain amount may apply, which is the maximum you have to pay towards a repair. In any case, this amount is much lower than what you would have to pay without insurance. However, in the event of theft of the vehicle, fire or window repair, this excess does not apply.

Add-ons to car insurance
In addition to the insurance cover we have discussed, companies offer add-ons to be more secure and enjoy extra benefits. For example, you can have a courtesy car, which you can use while your vehicle is being repaired after a claim, so that you are not left without transport. Extended roadside assistance can also be very useful, as it covers more situations than the basic cover.
