Land Rover Range Rover Velar Electric Cars
The Range Rover Velar will return in a form you don't expect
The Range Rover Velar will arrive as an electric vehicle, but it will leave behind its SUV body to become a saloon slightly taller than usual.

The Range Rover Velar is almost ready to arrive as an electric vehicle, although it could feature a change nobody expected that will change the concept we have of the model forever. Some camouflaged units have been seen testing in the snow, and their shape has surprised everyone, as it seems to abandon its SUV body to become a saloon slightly taller than usual.
The new Velar will be based on the Electrified Modular Architecture (EMA) platform, which is designed to deliver efficient electric propulsion and aims to be a benchmark for buyers. Not many details are known about the electric motor and battery, although it is believed it could use the same battery as the upcoming Range Rover Electric. This has a capacity of 117 kWh, although it could come in a somewhat smaller version.

Either way, the electric version is expected to be able to maintain the performance, power and versatility offered by the current combustion-engine version. It is important to point out that, apart from the images captured of the camouflaged unit, nothing is clear about this model.
Images have been revealed, but they are renders created by independent designers that have no real validity. Imagination has led the renders to show images that are nothing more than what is expected of this model. It is possible, however, that the new Range Rover Velar will keep some of the features of the current model.
The distinctive front end could be present on the new Range Rover Velar, showing its SUV heritage. The lower body height will bring better aerodynamic behaviour, something that could be key for an electric vehicle, and the fastback style will make it very attractive for anyone who wants to enjoy a Range Rover, but with a more urban touch.
