The Leapmotor B10 receives an update with One-Pedal and wireless connectivity

The Leapmotor B10 has received an OTA update since February, that is, a wireless one, which has enhanced the vehicle’s equipment by adding new elements that boost its efficiency. This update will make driving the car more engaging and the experience more intense.

One of the features included in this update is One Pedal Driving. This is one of the most sought-after functions in new electric and hybrid vehicles of the latest generation. With this function, acceleration and deceleration can be managed using the accelerator pedal alone. This way, energy recovery during regenerative braking can be optimised.

This solution is especially practical when driving in the city. On these journeys there are many starts and stops, so One Pedal Driving reduces wear on conventional brakes and improves the vehicle’s overall efficiency. That said, drivers need to get used to this system, which can feel confusing at first if you are not accustomed to it, especially when driving at high speed or on slippery surfaces.

Connectivity with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto will not only be available via cable, but can also be used wirelessly. This is something users have been demanding in the most current models, so they can use it more efficiently and easily and access their favourite apps without having to physically connect the smartphone.

Another function introduced with this update is the Quick Start system, which allows faster access to the infotainment system. This means digital functions can be accessed immediately. The Leap05 technology platform offers a split-screen navigation view, so other applications can be viewed simultaneously.

The steering wheel buttons are reassignable, so their functions can be changed, and they offer quick access to key driving functions, such as driver assistance systems and personalised driving profiles, to adjust the driving settings to the person behind the wheel.

There are also improvements to the ADAS fitted to the model. The Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) and the Lane Centering Control (LCC) now feature smoother management during cornering transitions and increase safety when changing direction. The detection of occupants’ presence in the cabin has been optimised, further guaranteeing the safety of passengers.
