Hyundai H350, the new van for Europe

We usually focus on car shows and pay less attention to commercial vehicles and the events where they are presented. This time, we want to take a closer look at the announcement of the presentation of the Hyundai H350, the new van the Korean manufacturer has developed for sale in Europe.

It will be presented at the IAA Commercial Vehicle Show, held in Hannover at the end of September. As this is not a show that usually attracts a large general audience, as others do, the brand will also have a presence at its stand at the Paris Motor Show 2014.

The Hyundai H350 has been designed with a platform capable of accepting three different bodies. One is the van body for which it was created, but it can also become a bus for passenger transport and, finally, a flatbed truck.

The design of this commercial vehicle has been carried out with the European market in mind. It has very different characteristics from the Asian or American markets, and for that reason Hyundai has taken all those peculiarities into account, focusing on them to make it as efficient as possible on our continent.

Elements typical of the Hyundai models are also present in this van. The most notable feature is the hexagonal grille integrated into the front bumper, and the headlights, which are framed by LED daytime running lights. On the sides, it has body moldings that separate the different panels of the cargo van and a side sliding door.

The cabin is designed with driver comfort in mind, and the van has a payload capacity of 1,400 kg, while its towing capacity is 2,500 kg. This model will be built in Turkey thanks to the participation of a production partner of Hyundai, Karsan Otomotiv Sanayi ve Ticaret AS, and it will be seen for the first time on September 24 at the German event.
