Hyundai i30 N Line: the sporty finish it was missing Hyundai
The Hyundai i30 is the model chosen to debut the new N Line sporty trim, which will be rolled out across other models in the brand’s range.
It could not have been otherwise. The success of the Hyundai i30 N, the high-performance version of the Korean compact, has led the brand to launch a new N Line trim level distinguished by its sporty focus. And the first model to carry this designation is, naturally, the Hyundai i30 N Line.
N Line versions of Hyundai: not just looks
Hyundai thus joins the strategy of other manufacturers offering sporty variants for all audiences, such as the ST Line of Ford, the GT Line of Kia, Renault and Peugeot, or the FR of Seat, to name a few examples.

In the case of the i30 N, the styling differentiators affect the design of the front and rear bumpers, the specific rear exhaust outlet and the N Line badge, in addition to the option of 18-inch alloy wheels. Inside, optional N sport seats complement the sporty-design steering wheel and pedals.

But that’s not all. Wisely, Hyundai has also wanted its i30 N to offer a distinguishing edge when driving it. To that end, they offer a specific suspension tuning, larger front brake discs and Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tyres. The engines available for the i30 are the 1.4 Turbo petrol with 140 CV, and the 1.6 CRDi with 136 CV. Now we only need to test it to see how all these upgrades influence the dynamic behaviour of the Hyundai i30… and find out the price.
A very “spicy” launch video
To promote the market launch of the new N Line trim, Hyundai has shot a very special video, in which the Hyundai i30 N can be seen in action with Gabriele Tarquini at the wheel. The driver tries to add some spice to his hamburger in a difficult manoeuvre that requires great skill and precision. But the best part is that you can watch it for yourselves.
