Hyundai Staria Electric Cars Minivans
Hyundai is set to kick off 2026 in Europe in style
A new fully electric people carrier and a city car are expected to be the main additions to Hyundai’s electric range this coming year, 2026.
Hyundai is gearing up for a 2026 packed with new arrivals for its electric model range, and the upcoming Brussels Motor Show, running from 9 to 18 January, will be the stage chosen to launch this new chapter. The highlight among all the novelties to be unveiled in the Belgian capital will be the world premiere of its largest electric vehicle to date, featuring next-generation technology and built on an 800V platform to make ultra-rapid charging possible.
Although Hyundai has not yet revealed its official name, some leaked images clearly point to a fully electric version of its Staria people carrier, which we have already covered here at HighMotor on other occasions.

The Staria reached the market in 2021 and was recently updated with a more modern design that incorporates a continuous LED light bar running from side to side across the front of the vehicle. The launch of a fully electric version of this people carrier, if it is finally confirmed, would complete the broad range of electric models that the South Korean manufacturer already offers in Europe, ranging from the city car Inster to the seven-seat family SUV IONIQ 9.
More news on the way
Aside from the possible fully electric version of the Staria people carrier, Hyundai is expected to present in Brussels the renewal of the IONIQ 6 for the European market, with improvements in aerodynamics, interior and digital systems. In addition, attendees at the event will be able to test the high-performance N versions of both the IONIQ 5 and the IONIQ 6 in a dedicated area. Hyundai’s offering will be complemented by the chance to enjoy an interactive experience with the Insteroid prototype, inspired by video games.
Looking ahead, the South Korean manufacturer continues to work on new projects. The most immediate of these is the upcoming IONIQ 3, a fairly affordable four-door compact electric car that will arrive in Europe in 2026 as the younger sibling of the IONIQ 5. This model, based on the company’s Concept Three, promises a bold and efficient design focused on urban use.

Hyundai’s press conference is scheduled for 9 January 2026. That is when all the details on this new push for Hyundai’s electric model range will be officially unveiled, aimed at consolidating the company’s presence in Europe.
