Hyundai N Vision 74 Concept: a dream come true with 680 CV
Hyundai unveils the N Vision 74, a concept from the brand that will push the limits of electric vehicles with its new hybrid hydrogen fuel cell architecture

Hyundai Motor Company made its first appearance at the prestigious Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este event this week on Lake Como, Italy, presenting its latest concept, the N Vision 74. This vehicle caught the attention of guests thanks to its futuristic design and its hybrid hydrogen fuel cell architecture, a notable feature that Hyundai continues to test.
The N Vision 74, first presented in 2022, is a high-performance hybrid hydrogen fuel cell “Rolling Lab” from Hyundai’s N brand for high-performance vehicles. Its design pays tribute to and is inspired by the Pony Coupe concept of 1974, created by the renowned Italian designer Giorgetto Giugiaro. After seven years of imagining high performance powered by hydrogen, the brand intends to look beyond electric cars with this new model.

Hyundai’s “Rolling Labs” are the way the brand tests and verifies advanced technologies that will be implemented in its future models. In this way, it supports its ambition to become a leader of the future with zero emissions of polluting gases, reflecting the brand’s commitment to a sustainable future. The N Vision 74 represents the long-term vision of Hyundai N, merging heritage design with cutting-edge technology and the high performance that the Hyundai N range delivers.
As SangYup Lee, Vice President of the Hyundai Motor Design Center, states: “The N Vision 74 is a tribute to our past efforts and a statement of our future, carrying forward the bold spirit of the Pony Coupe Concept into a futuristic design that makes our engineers’ dream of building Korea’s first sports car come true.

Hybrid architecture for optimal balance
The N Vision 74 has been conceived around an innovative hybrid architecture, combining the advantages of a battery engine and a hydrogen fuel cell system, and designed to balance aerodynamics and cooling.
With a primary focus on high performance, it mounts a 3-channel cooling system that improves heat management of the PE system and delivers stable power without the performance loss that many electric vehicles experience when their battery charge is low. Its unique hybrid hydrogen fuel cell architecture allows the N Vision 74 to recharge in just 5 minutes, highlighting its high-performance potential as a fully functional “Rolling Lab”.

A brand icon with 680 CV
In terms of mechanics and performance, the N Vision 74 features dual motors with independent control of the rear wheels, delivering 680 CV of power and 0 to 100 km/h acceleration in under 4 seconds. The N Vision 74’s power comes from an 85 kW hydrogen fuel cell at the front, a 62 kWh lithium-ion battery located between the driver and passenger, and two 2.1 kg hydrogen tanks in the rear section, giving it an impressive range of nearly 600 km.
The N Vision 74 was acclaimed as an “instant icon” at the 2022 TopGear.com awards, as it strikes the perfect balance between cutting-edge technology and traditional design. It takes the bold attitude of the Pony Coupe concept to a new level with a futuristic design geared toward the brand’s future. Its sleek exterior reinterprets the pure lines, dynamic proportions and iconic B-pillar of the Pony Coupe Concept. Inside, the driver-focused cockpit combines inherited elements with a modern design, including a digital display and analog buttons.
Hyundai is expected to place greater emphasis on future, sustainable mobility in models like this within its N range, given the high ratings and praise this concept has received.
