Hyundai will present new autonomous passenger transport solutions at CES
The South Korean manufacturer wants to showcase its autonomous driving technology at CES, with two futuristic passenger transport vehicles.

CES is the technology event where the automotive industry has a significant presence. It is a showcase where the latest advances in technology applied to vehicles of all kinds can be seen. For that reason, it comes as no surprise that Hyundai has presented two autonomous vehicle prototypes intended for passenger transport.
These are the M.Vision TO and the M.Vision HI. Both are equipped with LiDAR radar systems, cameras, sensors and mixed reality displays. With all of this, these are vehicles that could be present in many cities and high-foot-traffic areas to operate as autonomous public transport.

One of their most important features is the e-corner modules. These combine an electric motor with steering, suspension and braking elements that allow each wheel to turn up to 90 degrees.
The M.Vision TO model is designed to offer wide visibility both from the inside and the outside. It is built with glass used throughout the structure, both on the sides and on the roof. These large windows also function as exterior displays. They also feature aerodynamic flaps that help it be more efficient in its movements.
Although there are no details about the interior, Hyundai Mobis assures that the seats are durable and can be rotated to create different configurations inside.
As for the M.Vision HI, this one looks like a somewhat taller version of the previous model. It is like a futuristic transport module featuring large panoramic windows. These can be used both as exterior displays to show the origin and destination of the trip and as interior displays to watch movies during the journey or shop online.
This is where there is very innovative technology, since this system will use eye movement to serve as cursor control and to select the items displayed on the screens.
But these vehicles are showcases of technologies that can be mass-produced and incorporated into current vehicles, which is what it’s all about. In total, there will be 19 innovations presented by Hyundai at this technology event. Among these applications are a front display with augmented reality holograms and an intelligent cabin that could improve the use of today’s vehicles.
