Audi Charging Service, the new charging service from Audi starting in 2023
Audi Charging Service is the new charging service for the German brand’s electric vehicles starting on January 1 in 27 countries, including Spain

Four years ago, Audi launched the Audi e-tron Charging Service, an event that coincided with the arrival in its line-up of the first of its fully electric models. It will now be replaced from January 1, 2023 onwards by the Audi Charging Service, with the same premises but with new and more charging points as well as new rates that will be very interesting for you if you drive an electric Audi.
From the date mentioned above, the new Audi Charging Service will allow us to access around 400,000 charging points in 27 countries in total, a number that will grow as the year progresses, operated by more than 800 companies. This includes around 1,900 high-power chargers (HPC) belonging to the IONITY network, with which users will be able to carry out fast charges of up to 350 kW on the main traffic routes.
Both new electric vehicle drivers of Audi and existing owners will be able to subscribe to the service through dynamic tariffs, which means that, depending on how we use our electric vehicle or the number of kilometres we drive, we can choose the one that best suits our needs. In Spain, users of the Audi Charging Service will be able to access three tariffs that the brand has named Basic, Plus and Pro.

If we start by describing the first of them, the one called Basic, we will see that it is aimed at drivers who have home chargers but occasionally need to use the road charging network. The major difference compared with the other tariffs is that Basic has no monthly fee but, on the other hand, the price per kWh is higher, set at 0.55 euros for AC charging, 0.69 euros for DC/HPC charging, or 0.79 euros if we use the IONITY HPC network.
The next step among the tariffs is the one called Plus, which already includes a fixed monthly fee of 6.99 euros and is aimed at drivers who need to charge their vehicle on the road occasionally. By paying a monthly fee we get cheaper charging prices, set at 0.43 euros for AC charging, 0.55 euros for DC/HPC charging and 0.79 euros on the IONITY HPC network. Audi highlights that this tariff starts to pay off if we charge more than 48 kWh per month.

The most complete tariff is the one called Pro, with a monthly fee that rises to 14.99 euros and is aimed at people who need to charge their electric vehicle frequently on the road. Prices per kWh on this tariff are even cheaper, set at 0.41 euros for AC charging and 0.53 euros for DC/HPC charging, but where we will undoubtedly find the greatest savings compared with the other tariffs is on the IONITY HPC network, where the price drops to 0.36 euros. It is worth noting that Audi will offer new drivers of its electric vehicles a free one-year subscription to the Pro tariff, after which we will have to choose which one we want, although it should be borne in mind that the Pro tariff pays for itself by charging just 35 kWh per month on the IONITY network.
In addition, with the launch of the Audi Charging Service, the myAudi app will also bring new features, including the ability to change our tariff or manage the contract with Audi with just a few clicks on our screen.
