Improvements for the 2013 Mitsubishi ASX
The Mitsubishi ASX has received a styling refresh at the front and rear, with a new grille, a new rear bumper contour and redesigned lights. Available with the All Wheel Control system only on some models and two diesel engines, with one petrol engine.

Japanese brand Mitsubishi has presented a new, more up-to-date 2013 edition of its ASX SUV, this time with design changes and with equipment and finishes reinforced by new components and new materials. The Japanese manufacturer has adopted a more dynamic design, better finishes and more efficient dynamic behaviour and engines.
The new Mitsubishi ASX range renews the design with a front end that softens lines and introduces a more elegant and sophisticated new grille. It also debuts new housings for the daytime running and fog lights, decorated on the flanks with chrome details, while the front bumper has been redesigned and is now slimmer and more aerodynamic. The changes continue at the rear, where there is a new contour in the lower area, LED rear lights and chrome exhaust tips. Continuing with the exterior improvements, the indicators integrated into the mirrors are now continuous rather than the previous diodes.
The interior has also received changes, mainly with a new-design leather multifunction steering wheel, and with a selector button for the 4WD system, replacing the previous rotary control on the console. The seat upholstery and door panels have also been updated, as well as new integrated audio equipment taken from the Outlander range, including a high-end unit with a 6.1-inch touchscreen, CD and MP3 player and 6 speakers.
The All Wheel Control system offers several operating modes: in 2WD mode the front axle delivers all the engine torque for agile driving and greater fuel economy; in 4WD mode the traction force is controlled to allow progressive delivery of torque and steering on gravel tracks or wet, snowy or slippery roads; and in 4WD Lock mode the torque of the 4WD setting is transferred to the rear wheels in a 1.5 ratio to improve off-road performance on low-grip surfaces.
The 2013 Mitsubishi ASX offer includes two diesel engines, the 200 DI-D and 180 DI-D, alongside a 160 MPI petrol engine. The 200 DI-D develops 150 CV and 300 Nm of torque. It is paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox and records a combined consumption of 5.5 l/100 km in 2WD version, and 5.7 l/100 km if fitted with the 4WD all-wheel-drive system. The 180 DI-D, available with 2WD transmission, delivers 116 CV and 270 Nm with the same 6-speed manual gearbox and achieves a combined consumption of 5.5 l/100 km. The 160 MPI petrol is based on a 1.6-litre, 4-cylinder, 16-valve aluminium block producing 117 CV, with consumption and emissions of 5.9 l/100 km and 135 g/km respectively.
