Infiniti prepares its LE electric model
The Infiniti LE will be the first electric Infiniti car based on the Nissan Leaf and could reach the market in 2014.

Although the concept of the Infiniti LE was rather strange, it was destined to be the Nissan Leaf that Infiniti wanted to have in its vehicle lineup. Dubbed “the melted car” by most specialist media, nearly four months have passed without any news about this new electric model, until now.
Alongside various presentations to unveil the JX crossover and refresh the G saloon line, possibly with an engine sourced from Mercedes-Benz, and the M line, Infiniti is preparing the LE (we don’t know yet if that will be its final name), which is set to launch at the end of 2013 or early 2014.
The car is said to retain much of the lines of the concept, although underneath the skin there will be a whole Nissan Leaf. As a model belonging to Nissan’s most luxurious brand, the LE’s range will be greater than that of the mundane Leaf, totalling 160 km/h between charges. Obviously the price of the new electric car will also be in line with the model, although it is not yet known how much it may cost on the market. That said, it will offer much more than the Leaf in terms of styling.
