This electric city car offers the chance to get around the city, dual carriageways and motorways, with a range of up to 170 kilometres.

Electric vehicles designed for urban mobility are becoming increasingly popular. A few years ago it was unthinkable to consider small vehicles for getting around town, because larger cars took precedence. But now there are many models that aim to offer that solution for urban users. Invicta is a Spanish company that distributes this type of vehicle and has just presented the Invicta Pony.

This model is a vehicle designed to get around the city, but it can also travel on interurban roads, so it is very practical for both types of mobility. Although it has already been presented, its official debut will take place at Automobile Barcelona, held at the Montjuïc fairground from 13 to 21 May.

Designed for the city

The dimensions of the Invicta Pony confirm its urban character. It has a length of 3.06 metres, a width of 1.49 metres and a height of 1.58 metres. The basis of this model is a Chinese city car, the BAW Yuanbao. This has been slightly modified so that it is sold in a configuration tailored to Spanish buyers.

It has two seats and a fairly complete equipment level. This includes power steering, ABS brakes, air conditioning, central locking, a 360º panoramic camera and an infotainment system with a 10.25-inch screen.

At the front we can find large headlights, and its bodywork is available in Flamingo Pink, Sky Blue, White and Grey.

As for the engine, it is equipped with an electric motor that delivers 20 kW, that is, 27 CV. It is not an excessive figure, but it must be remembered that this is an urban vehicle. In this case, the battery has a capacity of 13.7 kWh, which, given its characteristics, allows a range of 170 kilometres under the WLTP cycle.

Charging time is six to eight hours and it allows a top speed of up to 100 km/h, which means it can travel on dual carriageways and other interurban roads.

The selling price is 16,995 euros, although the company offers a promotional discount under the Plan Moves L7. With this, the price drops to 13,595 euros.
