Jacques Laffite drove the Ferrari F40 LM

For those who believe the Ferrari F40 was the greatest machine and the finest work of art ever produced by the house of Maranello, we now bring you a video starring the F40 LM (Le Mans), one of the 17 beauties with over 700 horsepower that nearly rivalled the Formula 1 cars of the era in power.

A Ferrari F40 LM was tested by former French driver Jacques Laffite, at the Mas du Clos circuit (another European track on the verge of disappearing), in 1992. The test was carried out for a French television programme. The video is a real treat, but this time, in addition to recommending that you turn up the volume, I also recommend that you watch Jacques’s foot and hand movements. I’m sure that watching drivers of this calibre, driving beastly cars like the LM, we all learn a little more every day.
