Will the Ferrari F151 finally be unveiled in Geneva? For now, some details

Whether it is the successor to the Scaglietti, or a model that will be “proof that we adapt to the changes of the world” (in Montezemolo’s words), the next Ferrari model remains shrouded in the secrecy imposed by the Italian house. Despite the secrecy, some additional details are already known about the Ferrari F151, although we would still like to know more.

Why? Because we still don’t know for certain whether the F151 will be hybrid or whether it will only be equipped with a KERS energy recovery system. It is said that Ferrari will surely show us in Geneva something very different from what it has been doing. In the section on electronic “toys” it would fit as standard, they have also mentioned a full-time all-wheel-drive electronic system, which in principle would engage occasionally with the help of an additional clutch for the front wheels to improve traction and cornering.

Otherwise, the F151 would feature a completely new 6.3-litre V12 engine, a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission, a total output of 670 hp and a top speed of 335 km/h. Acceleration is said to be well below 4 seconds for the 0 to 100 km/h sprint.

As for the styling, it would be “half 458 Italia” with a redesign of the rear half of the car. There are some renderings, by sefsdesign/deviantart.com, that attempt to show something of what the F151 is believed to look like, but we will have to wait until the people at Ferrari make us drool… three months from now.
