Jeremy Clarkson pits the BMW Series 1 Coupé M against the Brutus V12

Jeremy Clarkson, in one of his crazy moods, has decided to compare, with his special sense of humour, two vehicles as different as the Brutus V12 and the BMW Series 1 M Coupé

Little or nothing can be said about either of the contenders. On one side we have one of the most attractive M models around right now, a small high-performance coupé that, with its six-cylinder inline engine, is capable of delivering 340 hp, enough so that, thanks to a more than moderate weight, it can show up other vehicles that are far more powerful.

On the other side we have the Brutus V12, a relic created at a time in history when the most important thing was the size of your vehicle’s engine. Because of this, what you see on screen is a huge engine with wheels fitted with the smallest tyres possible, which stands out above all for the practical elimination of elements such as safety or suspension…

Going into detail, the Brutus V12 features an enormous 46-litre BMW V12 block taken straight from a Second World War aircraft. As for raw power, according to the video, the block is capable of delivering 500 hp. Is that enough to stand up to the magnificent BMW Series 1 M Coupé?

  1. Francisco says:

Ese “Brutus” no lleva un motor de avión BMW de la II Guerra Mundial, sino de la Primera (1914-1918), pues el coche se construyó en los años 20.
