Jeremy Clarkson takes his final lap of the Top Gear test track

Jeremy Clarkson, the popular British TV presenter, has had a rather…eventful few months.
Following his controversial fight with a Top Gear producer that led to his forced exit from the show, Clarkson has now taken what will definitely be the last lap of the peculiar Top Gear test track.
We know all this thanks to Jezza himself, who posted a series of tweets on his social network profile in which, in a relatively solemn tone, he bid a definitive farewell to what had been his workplace for many years.
In keeping with what is expected of Clarkson, the English presenter noted that he had pulled off “one of the best slides in Chicago”, although we don’t know exactly which car it was, as Jeremy posted a photograph of himself posing with three possible candidates, a Ferrari LaFerrari, a Ferrari 488 GTB and a Mercedes-Benz AMG GT.
From now on, Clarkson’s future is not entirely clear. What we do know is that he is preparing some kind of “show” with his two former co-presenters, who, after Jeremy’s dismissal, also decided to leave the television show.
However, it seems Jeremy will not be able to present any TV programme on the British scene, at least for the next two years, as a clause in his contract prevents him from doing so. It is possible, however, that Jeremy will head to the Americas, where he has received numerous offers to star in various motoring shows.
What does seem clear is that Clarkson’s image is far from exhausted, and that we’ll have Jeremy around for a good few years yet. Now we just have to work out which ride the good Jezza took for his final lap of the Top Gear circuit. Any bets?
