Ceed KIA Electric Cars Hybrid Cars
KIA is preparing plug-in hybrid versions for 2020 and a 100% electric car in 2021
The Korean brand is preparing plug-in hybrid versions, a mild-hybrid version and a brand-new fully electric car, all of which will be ready in 2021

KIA has a good number of electrified vehicles that have emerged in just a few years and that enjoy quite good acceptance. We are referring to the KIA e-Niro and the KIA e-Soul, but it is not content with just them. So it probably won’t surprise anyone that it has set its sights on the KIA Ceed and the XCeed version. These two models are going to receive a plug-in hybrid version, although they won’t be the only hybrid models to arrive.
At the end of November, production of the plug-in hybrid version of both models will begin, but a mild-hybrid version, that is, with 48V mild hybridisation, will also join. This will be based on the compact version of the model and will join this model’s family to offer a greater variety of electrified models.

To round off this model, in the near future the 100% electric version will join the Ceed family, although no date has been given for when it will appear. However, the electric model arriving shortly will be based on the The Imagine by KIA Concept, a concept model that blended several types of car across different categories without quite settling into any one of them

The exterior design of this car was very bold, and inside they also wanted to be quite mischievous, using up to 21 high-resolution screens mounted on the dashboard, creating a rather interesting effect. They even claimed it was a model with a touch of humour, somewhat poking fun at models equipped with several multimedia screens.
Obviously, the model that comes out of this project will be quite different. To begin with, KIA will focus this model on one of the segments and offer a vehicle well positioned within one of them. In addition, it will eliminate the extravagant interior and create a more functional and attractive cabin.
