KIA Sedans Hybrid Cars Photos Salón de Los Ángeles
Kia presents the Optima Hybrid in Los Angeles

The South Korean manufacturer unveiled interesting new models at the Paris Motor Show, so it seemed we wouldn’t see any more surprises from the brand; however, Kia has generated a lot of anticipation with the debut of a hybrid version of the Optima, a car that will go on sale next year.
As you can imagine, the saloon was designed with the North American market in mind, so most of its features are dictated by the requirements of American users.
It’s therefore no surprise that a 2.6-litre petrol engine works alongside an electric motor to deliver 206 CV, with power sent to the front wheels through a six-speed automatic gearbox.
On the other hand, the company points out that the saloon is suited to covering everyday needs, as the car offers a fairly attractive consumption figure (6.19 l/100 km); in addition, it provides respectable performance levels, meaning it can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 9.2 seconds and reach a top speed of 195 km/h.
