Kia shows us the EV6, its first electric car, in an enigmatic teaser
The new model from Kia will be fully electric, an SUV that shares its platform with the Hyundai IONIQ 5 and will arrive shortly, and now we can see it in a teaser.

The time has come for a company like Kia to dare to take the step and move towards electric mobility. The model that will carry the brand’s electrification standards towards their logical evolution is almost ready, and the brand wants to show us what will be its definitive image. Admittedly, it does so in a somewhat veiled way, in the form of a teaser that hides its details in shadows.
This new model is built on the Electric-Global Modular Platform (E-GMP). Its exterior shape stems from the new design language, in which electrified drive systems will take centre stage in the lineup. The phrase “Movement that inspire“, which means “Movement that inspires“, is the foundation on which the new models will be built.

First look at the EV6
The images we can see of the Kia EV6 show an SUV with many points in common with the Hyundai IONIQ 5, with which it shares its platform. We can see little of the model so far, but it hints at a pleasing, powerful line, with a raised rear shoulder that gives it a dynamic and efficient look.

KIA EV6
We know it will feature 800-volt electric technology and that it will have a range of around 500 kilometres on the WLTP cycle, so it will be a good option for enjoying the experiences a fully electric car offers. Although the details have not yet been revealed, we expect two configurations. One of them will feature a rear-axle motor and another with all-wheel drive, which would reach a total output of 306 CV.
With a 200 kW fast-charging station, just 18 minutes will be enough to reach 80% of the battery capacity. With charges of around 10 minutes, a range of 200 kilometres can be achieved. Quite interesting figures for long journeys and always with the option of these fast-charging systems.
What we know about the Kia EV6 is that it belongs to the new generation of electric cars presented by Kia. It will carry the same designation, EV, although each model will have a number to define its range. From the EV1 to the EV9, we will gradually get to know these vehicles that aim to make people forget the combustion engines they still use.
