Kia Sportage 2022: the redesigned SUV reveals its prices and full range for our country

The new and long-awaited generation of the Sportage has just unveiled its prices in our country, with a varied range of powertrains and four trim levels

Just a week ago, Kia presented for the first time the prices for Europe of the newly launched next generation of its Sportage, predicting from that moment on that the new Sportage would undoubtedly become one of the most successful SUVs on the market, putting quite a few of its rivals under pressure.

But now, the Korean brand has decided to reveal the prices and range for Spain of its new Sportage, and is opening its order books from next January, even though we still do not know the exact date it will arrive at dealerships.

The fifth generation of the Sportage, in addition to sporting a completely renovated look, a new platform and a varied range of powertrains that will gradually expand even further, will come with four trim levels: Concept, Drive, Tech and GT Line.

Alongside these four trims, there is a special edition called Launch Edition, in which Kia equips the model with a large list of equipment, all at a very attractive price (€46,025 before discounts), making it a fantastic option for getting hold of one of the most popular hybrid SUVs on the market, since it will only be offered with the conventional hybrid (HEV) powertrain.

Equipment by trim level

As far as equipment is concerned, the new Sportage in Concept trim comes as standard with 17-inch alloy wheels, an 8-inch infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility, lane change alert, cruise control, automatic lights, a rear-view camera and rear parking sensors, among others.

Looking at the Drive trim, it includes everything mentioned above and adds LED rear lights, tri-zone climate control and, above all, more safety and driver-assistance systems such as a traffic sign reader, the automatic emergency braking system with pedestrian and cyclist detection, fatigue detector and rain sensor.

Moving up to the Tech trim, the new Sportage comes standard with 18-inch wheels, keyless entry, front parking sensors, heated mixed-fabric upholstered seats, a 12.3-inch infotainment screen , a wireless smartphone charger and tinted glass.

To finish with the trims, the GT Line stands out above all for its sportier exterior styling, thanks in large part to its 19-inch alloy wheels. In addition, it boasts a long list of equipment including a 360-degree camera, a panoramic roof, blind-spot sensor, automatic tailgate, and ventilated leather-upholstered seats.
