Lamborghini brings back the Tricolore with a one-off Temerario in Monterey

It has been a little over 15 years since we last saw the Tricolore name on a Lamborghini model, but the brand has decided to bring it back to give shape to one of its most iconic current models. At the Monterey Car Week, Lamborghini presented the Temerario Tricolore, a one-off that revives the legendary name and draws on some of its features to catch every eye.

The last model to use this name was the Gallardo LP 550-2 Tricolore, which went on sale in 2011. Today, it is the Temerario that wears the tricolour flag on a white background and an evocative image. It has been created by the Lamborghini Centro Stile and Ad Personam divisions, using all the resources available to both departments.

A striking exterior

The exterior is defined by lower sections finished in Blu Marinus Shiny, while the upper part of the bodywork is painted in Blanco Monocerus. The roof, mirrors and wheels are finished in Glossy Nero Noctis, creating an interesting contrast.

On the bonnet, a stripe in the colours of the Italian flag runs across, which gives the model its name. As for the interior, we only have a couple of images, so there is still a lot to see of the cabin. However, we can see the Nero Ade upholstery and Rosso Alala contrast stitching, which creates an interesting contrast.

The interior also features a silhouette of the vehicle and the tricolour flag on the door panels.

What we do know are the engine specifications. It is a plug-in hybrid block, consisting of a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8, paired with three electric motors. The dual-clutch transmission has eight speeds, and the battery has a capacity of 3.8 kWh. Combined power is rated at 907 CV and peak torque is 730 Nm. With these figures, it is no surprise that the 0 to 100 km/h acceleration time is 2.7 seconds. Its top speed is 343 km/h.
