Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4, first official images

After controversial spy photos (some of which turned out to be accurate), a teaser and some photos leaked surreptitiously from inside the show, Lamborghini has decided to put its new gem on its press website for everyone to see… the Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4.

It is a gem not only because of its colour, but also because of the success it must achieve and continue for the Santa Agata marque without dethroning its name from the pantheon of the world’s best sports cars. This model has been on the market for a while, but the years have not weighed on it at all, so for now I would consider this image change unnecessary, although in time we will get used to it and end up liking it much more.

Why doesn’t it convince? Many of us saw the Gallardo as a perfect balance in terms of design: nothing missing, nothing superfluous. Each of its lines was measured as carefully as the one before and the one after, so it is quite difficult to understand the retouch. To make matters worse, I at least have already found a resemblance to its rear, and it all stays in the family… since those red rectangular tail lights look like the living image of the Audi R8.

The changes to the design of the headlights and the front bumper have been more successful, adopting angles and styles taken from the Lamborghini that everyone has been talking about recently, the Reventón. Compared with the previous version, this one increases the power of its 5.2-litre V10 to 560 horsepower and reduces its weight by about 19 kg.
