Lamborghini Huracán Evo Aperta: this is the world's first Huracán barchetta

DailyDrivenExotics is immersed in a new project, the Lamborghini Huracán Evo Aperta, the world’s first Huracán barchetta.

Just when we thought nothing could surprise us anymore, DailyDrivenExotics arrives with a wild and intriguing project. It is the Lamborghini Huracán Evo Aperta, a concept coined by the channel’s own owner, with which he intends to refer to the world’s first Lamborghini Huracán barchetta. The idea stems from the Lamborghini Aventador J and the new competition car that the bull brand is developing, which adopts this curious body style, one that was considered extinct.

For now, it is a project in its infancy that is taking shape little by little. However, Damon Fryer, one of the channel’s founders, has wanted to revolutionise the internet with this creation, for which he used a Lamborghini Huracán Evo Spyder as the base. Even so, the aesthetics and concept of this Huracán are not the only things changing, but also its mechanics.

At present, Damon and his team have modified much of the front structure by removing the glass, which will be replaced by a much smaller one acting as a deflector. The plans for the roof and its mechanism are still unknown, since without the front glass it cannot be anchored properly. Given this premise, they have only two options: either do without the roof and take the Huracán Evo Aperta out for a spin whenever the weather allows, or reinvent the system.

The opportunity has also been taken to add new parts finished in carbon fibre, such as air intakes in the front wheel arches designed to improve cooling. For now, Fryer and the DailyDrivenExotics crew are keeping a deafening silence regarding the other modifications, although new wheels and a new exhaust system are expected, among others.

However, what Damon has confirmed is that the 5.2-litre V10 that powers the Lamborghini Huracán Evo will leave behind its naturally aspirated status. This will be made possible by a supercharger, with which they intend to surpass the 1,000 CV threshold, turning this Huracán Evo Aperta into a genuine drifting machine. Because we haven’t mentioned it, but this is the rear-wheel-drive variant.

We have already grabbed our popcorn and are ready for DailyDrivenExotics’ next moves, which intends to keep making plenty of noise on YouTube. Whatever happens, we are sure this Lamborghini Huracán Evo Aperta will not go unnoticed, and many will want to emulate the creation, hopefully even the Lamborghini itself.
