Lamborghini Huracan GT3 EVO2, this is the racing version of the Huracan STO
Want to know all the secrets of the Lamborghini Huracan GT3 Evo2? We’ll tell you!

The bull-branded manufacturer has just unveiled its latest racing model. Based on the Lamborghini Huracan, it is called Lamborghini Huracan GT3 Evo2. Next year, it will make its debut at the 24 Hours of Daytona. It is worth noting that the Evo2 is the third evolution in the brand’s line of homologated GT3-spec offerings.
First launched in 2015, the racing car was updated to Evo specification in 2018, when a new roll cage, engine, suspension and power steering were introduced. Now, under the Evo2 name, the aerodynamics have taken a step forward based on the Lamborghini Huracan STO.
Everything we know about the new Lamborghini Huracan GT3 Evo2
The most significant update with an STO flavour is the new roof air intake, which feeds the 5.2-litre V10 engine with titanium valves directly, which has allowed Lamborghini to close the air intakes located next to the windows. The engine hardware is shared with the road car, but features individual throttle bodies. It delivers power close to 590 CV, which is sent to the rear axle through a six-speed sequential Hör gearbox.

The new supercar was developed and built in situ at Sant’Agata by Lamborghini’s racing division, Squadra Corse. The Evo2 features a fully carbon fibre bodywork with updates to the splitters, diffuser and underbody. Aerodynamic downforce has been increased with a view to shortening lap times, although, as with previous iterations of the Huracán GT3, stability and predictability remain priorities.
Teams currently racing the Huracán Evo GT3 have noted that it offers notable improvements over the original GT3. The Lamborghini Huracan GT3 Evo2 will compete in the British GT Championship, where it will face the Audi R8 LMs GT3 Evo II, the Bentley Continental GT3, the McLaren 720S GT3, the Mercedes-AMG GT3, the Porsche 911 GT3 R and the new BMW M4 GT3.
