ABT RS Q8 Signature Edition, now even more beastly and with a power output reaching 800 hp

ABT has turned the RS Q8 into the most fearsome SUV in the world with the new tuning package called Signature Edition, which will be a limited edition

Practically at the end of 2021, ABT once again turned the screw on the Audi RS Q8, a vehicle they have been gradually refining until it became one of the most brutal SUVs you can find on the road. Once again the German tuner keeps turning that screw, so much so that they have managed to give the Audi RS Q8 one more turn to make it a fearsome SUV.

ABT RS Q8 Signature Edition is the name of ABT’s new tuning package for the RS Q8, a designation that by the way will remind you of the RS6 Johann ABT Signature Edition, which the German tuner usually reserves for its most radical builds. This also tells us that we are not looking at an ordinary tuning package but at something very special, so much so that only 96 units will be produced of the RS Q8 Signature Edition, a figure that refers to 1986, the year ABT was founded.

To attract even more attention, ABT has chosen a gloss black paint finish for the RS Q8 Signature Edition’s bodywork, a shade that suits it perfectly, accompanied by numerous carbon fibre elements on show for the aerodynamic kit, consisting of a new double front splitter as well as the air intakes, the gills and side skirts, or the striking rear diffuser with the spoiler on the tailgate. The exterior styling is finished off with forged wheels, also painted black, measuring 23 inches and specific to this package.

If we open the doors and step inside, the atmosphere is completely sporty, in keeping with the aggressive exterior styling. The star remains the carbon fibre, which features on the trim around the steering wheel, the dashboard, the door panels, the centre console and the seat structures themselves. The seats use a upholstery combining leather and nappa leather with contrasting grey details, as well as the logo of this limited edition on the headrests.

On the mechanical side, it is worth recalling that the Audi RS Q8 uses a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 which as standard produces a not inconsiderable 600 hp. However, ABT has fitted a new ABT Engine Control unit along with a new exhaust line and new turbochargers and intercooler developed specifically for the RS Q8 Signature Edition, raising its power to an incredible 800 hp together with a torque figure of no less than 1,000 Nm, allowing it to reach 100 km/h in just 3.2 seconds and attain a top speed of 313 km/h.
