Lamborghini LP2000-2 SV, 2,000 CV for the legendary V12

From Denmark comes the most brutal tuning job ever done on a Lamborghini. 2,000 CV of power to the rear wheels.

When we talk about spectacular tuning on a Lamborghini we might refer to 800 CV, 900 or, in some cases, figures exceeding 1,000 CV, but what I bring you today is from another world. David Wiggins, the creator of this fury, lost his mind and has built what is possibly the most powerful Murciélago SV in the universe.

The old V12 has been completely reworked. It is no longer just another naturally aspirated engine; it is a twin-turbo engine tuned to deliver a staggering 2,000 CV! Yes, you read that right, 2,000 CV. As expected, this small Danish team didn’t just fit a forced induction system and call it a day; they did it properly, the way these things should be done, with brains.

The list of modifications is quite extensive. The pistons and connecting rods have been forged to withstand the enormous amount of torque, it features five different air intakes to maximise the cooling and intake system, along with an intercooler of enormous size. All of this is accompanied by a custom-made 12-inch exhaust system. The aluminium throttle bodies are new.

To save weight and further improve performance, the all-wheel-drive system has been removed and the wheels now weigh less than half of the originals. From my point of view, getting rid of the all-wheel drive doesn’t seem a wise move. I can’t imagine the enormous amount of traction loss it will suffer when pulling away and in slow corners. Weight is certainly very important, but with such horsepower I don’t see it as necessary.

Apart from the engine upgrades, the exterior receives a NASA white paint with a matte finish, while the cabin features a custom sound system. More than 3,000 hours of work have gone into the project, after more than four years of research.

Let’s hope it doesn’t end up wrecked against a barrier on its first attempt at reaching top speed.
