Lamborghini Urus ST-X: the most extreme version of the SUV

The Lamborghini Squadra Corse team has unveiled its next big project within its SUV range: a more extreme, more track-ready version of the successful Lamborghini Urus, officially called the Urus ST-X concept.

Conceived as a more extreme racing version, the Lamborghini Urus ST-X concept is presented as a more extreme, powerful and track-prepared option than the original model, the perfect companion for venturing off-road and for driving on traditional circuits.

Its design is even more aggressive, and thanks to the green colour visible in the photos, its lines take on even more prominence.

It is also worth noting that Lamborghini has not given too many details on the matter, but what we do know is that this sporty SUV has been fitted with a ventilated carbon-fibre grille, and 21” Pirelli wheels.

Looking more closely, we can see that the wing mirrors are made of carbon fibre, and that it also features a small spoiler in the same material. In addition, there are side exhaust pipes with a hexagonal design.

Because the SUV has been designed for competition, it has been fitted with more extravagant safety systems such as a roll cage, and a suppression system for its fuel tank.

Squadra Corse has also managed to reduce the model’s total weight by 25% compared with the original, which means a reduction of 1,649 kg with respect to the standard Urus.

Being a much lighter model, it also gains a lot more power, despite continuing to use the same engine as the original. It is a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 that produces 641 CV and 850 Nm of torque. It is capable of going from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.6 seconds. Its top speed is 305 km/h, which is impressive considering these figures come from an SUV.

The Lamborghini Urus ST-X concept will make its debut at the Lamborghini World Finals in 2019 and will become a limited edition. As soon as we learn more details about it, we will let you know as quickly as possible.
