Lancia will present a new saloon in Geneva

Sources close to Chrysler indicate that the Geneva Motor Show was chosen to present the new saloon that the Italian brand wants to introduce as its flagship. It also seems that the car will be called “Thema”.
According to network reports, the saloon will use the platform of the Chrysler 300, so most of its features will not be unknown, although a 3.0-litre V6 turbo-diesel engine built by VM Motori would be favoured due to its 230 horsepower; furthermore, the exterior design is expected to feature significant differences.
And, to the surprise of many users, the saloon could be sold in the United Kingdom and Ireland under the Chrysler badge from 2012 onwards; however, in the rest of the old continent it will be available at any Lancia dealership.
Another interesting piece of news that we cannot let pass relates to a new Lancia Ypsilon, which will also debut in March of next year. It is a pity that the information about this model is limited; however, it is rumoured that it could be a five-door version, undoubtedly an option that could boost the manufacturer’s sales.
