Land Rover presents the new Range Rover Velar with an updated design and improvements for the hybrid variant
Land Rover presents the new Range Rover Velar, now available in Spain with minor design changes and new technologies for its interior

Land Rover has finally officially announced the renewal of the Range Rover Velar, a model that has remained practically unchanged since its launch in 2017 and that now opts for an aesthetic renewal, not too profound to be honest, along with the arrival of new technologies in its interior and a more serious commitment to the plug-in hybrid variant.
The exterior changes to the Range Rover Velar focus especially on the front and, more specifically, the upper part, where we can see how the design of the front grille has been stylised and is dominated by new headlights with Pixel LED technology and a new light signature through the daytime running lights. At the rear, a new design is also applied to the LED lights, although the most striking feature will be the new bumper which, with its design, hides the exhaust outlets. Finally, the colour palette has been expanded with the new Metallic Varesine Blue and Metallic Zadar Grey shades.

In the interior of the new Range Rover Velar there are no design changes, but it is true that its personalisation capacity has increased, as its future owners will now be able to choose between new materials and colours for both the upholstery and the inserts. That said, the novelties introduced by Land Rover focus on the technology section, mainly represented by the new generation of the Pivi Pro infotainment system, consisting of a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and an 11.4-inch touchscreen located on the central console, with which we can control practically any vehicle function.

From here on, it will depend on which finish we choose and the extras we decide to include to have more or less equipment, but what is certain is that we will have the latest technology, such as the full-colour Head-Up Display that offers important information, a new and advanced air purification system which we can even activate remotely from the Land Rover app, or the powerful sound system signed by Meridian with 17 speakers and 750 W of power. This sound system can be enjoyed even more with the road noise active cancellation system, which helps reduce external and road noise to a minimum to create a completely silent cabin.

Mechanically, the new Range Rover Velar goes on sale in the Spanish market with three petrol options, with power outputs of 250 CV, 340 CV and 400 CV, the last two featuring mild-hybrid light hybridisation technology. In the diesel range, there are two engines with 204 CV and 300 CV. The plug-in hybrid option combines a 300 CV petrol engine with a 143 CV electric motor, resulting in a combined power of 404 CV and an electric-mode range that rises to 64 kilometres thanks to the new 19.2 kWh battery. All of them send power to all four wheels and feature an eight-speed automatic gearbox.
The new Range Rover Velar is already on sale at the brand’s dealerships in Spain, with prices starting from 77,600 euros.
