We continue with the presentations and we continue with Land Rover, which, just before these holiday days and coinciding with the start of the New York Auto Show 2009, is revealing the different restylings of its most iconic off-roaders.

Now it’s time to talk about the Land Rover Range Rover 2010, which undergoes a restyling with changes that, in terms of styling, maintain the image of the luxury off-roader and focus on small details both outside and inside. There are also changes in the engines, but it keeps the 272 hp TDV8 diesel.

The Range Rover 2010 in the mechanical area receives a new petrol engine, the 5.0-litre V8 with 510 hp and 625 Nm of torque, improving performance over the previous V8 petrol unit. In addition, the new petrol engine has a 6.9% reduction in fuel consumption, which stands at 14.9 l/100 km on the combined cycle, and a CO2 emissions level of 348 g/km (a reduction of 7.4%).

As for styling changes, on the outside they are even more subtle than on the inside, and the most noticeable are the new front and rear light clusters. Inside, the most notable change is that the conventional instrument cluster has been replaced by a fully configurable 12″ TFT screen, with virtual dials and indicators.

Within the technology area, the Terrain Response system and the Stability Control System have been updated. The Range Rover will also feature active safety aids such as Adaptive Cruise Control, Emergency Braking System, Blind Spot Monitoring and a peripheral camera system.
