Leaked prices for the new 911 Targa
Dutch magazine Autovisie has obtained access to the rates, which confirm the lineup shown in the image leaked in September of the model’s presentation to dealers. The Targa 4 will start at 132,400 euros with the PDK dual-clutch transmission.

Although Mercedes-Benz will be the German brand that will likely draw the most attention at the upcoming Detroit Motor Show with the new C-Class, the others won’t stay quiet either. Another of those new releases that has been frequently discussed lately is the new Porsche 911 Targa. The Stuttgart firm hasn’t had much luck keeping information about this bodywork secret, as leaks keep coming.
In September, an image taken during the presentation of the vehicle to dealers was revealed, showing technical data, prices for the United States, and a side view. Now it’s the European prices that have come to light, published by the Dutch magazine Autovisie. These confirm details such as the two versions Targa 4 and 4S that appeared in the photo leaked three months ago.
According to Autovisie, the Targa 4, which has the 350 hp 3.4 engine, will go on sale for 132,400 euros if the PDK dual-clutch transmission is chosen. If the manual is selected, the price rises to 137,700 euros. The Targa 4S, powered by the 400 hp 3.8 engine, with the PDK will cost 152,200 euros, while with the other gearbox the amount to pay rises to 159,400 euros.
Compared with the previous generation of the 911, the Targa will be much more expensive than before, although it will also be technologically more advanced (the new roof is partly responsible) and the engines will be more powerful and efficient. The price difference is between 24,000 and 32,000 euros. Its position in the lineup will make it the most expensive bodystyle, above the Cabriolet, in equivalent trim terms.
