Leapmotor begins accepting orders in Europe for the B03X urban crossover

With this launch, Leapmotor aims to establish itself in the European market within the competitive compact electric segment, offering a well-balanced proposition in terms of price, range and equipment.

Leapmotor has just opened order books for the B03X in several European markets. This compact electric model, unveiled earlier this year at the Brussels Motor Show, is positioned as an accessible and practical option for urban mobility, with a starting price in Germany of €24,900, and with the option of a no-deposit leasing contract from €239 per month.

Already on sale in China under the name A10, the B03X measures 4.27 metres in length and is defined as an Urban Crossover. It offers a good combination of agility, interior space and efficiency.

Leapmotor offers two LFP battery packs to choose from, both integrated into the chassis using CTC 2.0 Plus technology. The smaller capacity pack, at 39.8 kWh, promises a WLTP range of 292 km, while the larger 53 kWh pack allows, according to the manufacturer, up to 382 km under the WLTP homologation cycle. Both battery packs support 2.5C fast charging, making it possible to increase the battery’s state of charge from 30 to 80 percent in around 17 minutes.

As for the remaining technical specifications, it is available with two 135 kW powertrains for the entry-level version, or 145 kW in the higher-spec version. Top speed is limited to 160 km/h, and the 0 to 100 km/h acceleration in the version equipped with the more powerful motor is 8.6 seconds. On the scales, the vehicle weighs between 1,530 and 1,630 kg depending on the battery.

Two versions to choose from

The new B03X is available in two trim levels: Life – with a base price of €24,900, small battery and 135 kW motor – and Design – starting at €29,400, including the larger capacity battery and the more powerful motor. Standard equipment includes automatic LED headlights, climate control, a 14.6-inch touchscreen, an 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster, the Leap OS 4.0 system with smartphone connectivity and remote control. For safety, it features seven airbags and 21 advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS).

The top trim adds heated front seats, a 360° camera, parking sensors and 18-inch alloy wheels. Its interior prioritises practicality, with flexible seats, a flat loading floor and numerous storage compartments, offering an elevated driving position and great versatility for everyday use.

Within the European range of Leapmotor, the B03X occupies a strategic position, above the T03 urban model but below the B10 and C10 SUVs. This model is the first vehicle from Leapmotor developed on a new global platform, adapted to international standards, with an emphasis on reliability, technology and everyday use.

Deliveries will begin shortly, although a specific date is still unknown. The manufacturer offers a warranty of 4 years or 100,000 km for the vehicle, and 8 years or 160,000 km for the battery – maintaining at least 80 percent capacity.
