Leapmotor has had three months of success in Spain: these are the figures

It has only been three months since Leapmotor began distributing its models in our country. Although it is still too early to offer representative figures, the sales registered point to good expectations for the coming year. In principle, its range is limited to two models: a city car, the T03, and an SUV, the C10, aimed at a more demanding audience looking for premium equipment.

In total, the Chinese brand has registered 253 units. This represents 0.2% of all electric cars sold throughout 2024. A very low figure, but considering that sales began on 17 October, it is not bad at all.

In December alone, a total of 174 units were registered. The Leapmotor T03 recorded sales of 199 vehicles since October. Most importantly, 153 of these units were registered in December. The private customer channel recorded 123 units in December, so although the numbers are small, they mark a very promising trend.

Looking at the SUV C10, 54 units have been sold, 31 of them in December. This is a spacious SUV with a very attractive image that seeks to earn a place among those looking for an elegant, high-performance electric SUV.

At present, only a fully electric version of the C10 is available, but the brand has announced that a range-extender version will be launched soon. This option is increasingly popular and is appearing in more and more electric models. In the case of this option for the Leapmotor C10, it will offer a range of 950 kilometres.

It will feature a 1.5-litre combustion engine, which will act as a generator to supply energy to the battery. The battery can also be charged from an external charger, with either direct or alternating current. Propulsion is provided by an electric motor delivering 215 CV, with 320 Nm of torque.

The Leapmotor T03 is a small electric city car that offers considerable space for a city car. Its battery provides a range of 265 kilometres, although in urban driving this can increase to 395 kilometres. Very suitable figures for getting around the urban environment.
