Leo Messi and his Maserati MC Stradale
Messi has treated himself to a new toy: a Maserati MC Stradale.

Being an elite footballer comes with a lot of responsibilities… Of course, if you earn 10 million euros a season, those responsibilities may be easier to handle; simpler. Even more so if you can afford to buy a Ferrari every time you crash one or a Maserati MC Stradale, as Leo Messi, FC Barcelona player, has done.
The Argentine star, known to everyone, has been spotted with his new little gift. None other than the aforementioned Maserati. Painted white and personalised with his number “1010” on the number plate, Messi has “lost” 175,000 euros from his current account. That means that with the old man’s account he could buy about five identical cars. Look, one for every day of the week.
This little car, so “simple”, is the two-seater version of the Gran Turismo, and beneath its bonnet beats a 4691cc V8 engine, which delivers a maximum output of 450 horsepower at 7000 rpm. In case that wasn’t enough, it produces 510Nm of torque when the needle hits 4750 rpm. With this engine and its 1670kg weight, it can go from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.6 seconds, reaching a top speed of 301 km/h.
Of course, it had to have a problem on top of the price: it consumes 14.4 litres per hundred kilometres. Still, if after buying it you still have 9,825,000 million euros left over, I doubt that buying petrol will be one of your biggest headaches…
