Lexus has once again surprised the motorsport world with the launch of the LBX Morizo RR, a sporty SUV that arrives just months after presenting the concept set to revolutionise the market. It is equipped with the same 1.6-litre three-cylinder turbo engine as the GR Yaris, and the LBX Morizo RR delivers 300 CV with a choice of manual or automatic gearbox.

Exterior and interior design

The LBX Morizo RR first showed its concept in January 2024, although it now arrives with some adjustments and redesigns, such as the yellow stripe on the grille being replaced by a discreet dark chrome finish. The redesigned bumpers, with significantly larger air intakes, not only add to the styling but also improve engine cooling, and they are complemented by 19-inch forged alloy wheels.

The standard seats have been replaced by sports seats that offer superior support in tighter corners. The aluminium pedals and Alcántara inserts, together with contrasting red stitching, add a touch of motorsport-inspired style, creating an atmosphere that invites energetic driving.

Same engine as the GR Yaris

Under the bonnet, the LBX Morizo RR is powered by a 1.6-litre inline three-cylinder turbo engine, which produces 300 CV and 400 Nm of peak torque. This powerful engine, inherited from the GR Yaris, allows the SUV to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.2 seconds. Drivers can choose between a six-speed manual or an eight-speed automatic transmission, both offering electronically controlled permanent all-wheel drive.
