London Motor Show 2008: Honda OSM

Honda, along with Ford and General Motors, is one of the companies that has taken the London Motor Show 2008 most seriously. Probably because its presence in the United Kingdom is so widespread, the fact is that it secured one of the largest and most complete stands there, as well as preparing events abroad featuring ASIMO, plus a display of more than 40 Honda products to commemorate its 60th anniversary.
But everything has a star. It is the Honda OSM Concept, OSM standing for Open Study Model, a concept that joins the CR-Z hybrid and the FCX Clarity hydrogen car (also present on the stand).
The last two have been confirmed for production, but the OSM has not been so far. However, everyone bases their expectations for the next generation of Honda S2000 on it: two seats, sports car, convertible, close to the renewal of the Japanese sports car…

And I hope these are more than just speculation, because the design deserves it. It is pure and sinuous, with few lines, like the one that outlines its waist joining the rear and front, accompanied by headlights and taillights extended across its width… it has something special, let’s say.
It does not want to be futuristic, it wants to be the future. Nothing is known about the powertrain -or at least we have not managed to find out-, we can only assure that it is yet another green concept with low emissions of pollutants.
On the stand, as you can see in the gallery below, there was also the Formula 1 single-seater from this season and the new generation of Accord.
