Air Lucid Sedans Electric Cars
Lucid Motors offers a more affordable version of its luxury electric saloon in Europe
The most affordable version of the Lucid Air finally arrives in the European market with a price that puts it within reach of many more customers and a range superior to that of the vast majority of its rivals
The American manufacturer is readjusting the prices of its luxury electric saloon with the aim of boosting its sales. In Europe, the company has just added to its line-up the Lucid Air Pure RWD, equipped with a single electric motor on the rear axle capable of delivering up to 325 kW of power. With a price in Germany of 85 thousand euros, this model offers a remarkable WLTP range of up to 747 km on a single charge.
The new Lucid Air Pure RWD replaces in the manufacturer’s European line-up the same all-wheel-drive version -Air Pure AWD- that has been withdrawn. One step above within the range is the Touring version at a price of 99 thousand euros, followed by the Grand Touring at 129 thousand euros. Lucid Motors also intends to launch its top-of-the-range Sapphire version in Germany during the third quarter of 2024, for which buyers will have to pay 250 thousand euros.

On the other hand, in the North American market the company has once again cut the price list of its luxury electric saloon. The entry-level Pure RWD version is now available from 69,900 dollars. This price can be reduced by the 7,500 dollars of the federal government incentive for purchasing an electric vehicle. Likewise, the price of the Air Touring is now 77,900 dollars, while the Air Grand Touring costs 109,900 dollars.
Whatever you are looking for, there is a version of the Lucid Air that suits your needs
In the press release published by the manufacturer, Lucid Motors highlights the 410 miles -660 km- of EPA range of the Air Pure RWD. It also explains that customers seeking greater on-road performance can opt for the Touring version with 456 kW of power. Meanwhile, those who are not willing to give up a little range in exchange for greater performance have at their disposal the Grand Touring version with which it is possible to travel up to 516 miles -830 km- per charge. This version is also capable of reaching 100 km/h from a standstill in just over 3 seconds.

Following the announcement of this price adjustment for Lucid Motors’ luxury electric saloon, the company’s chief, Peter Rawlinson, has said he feels very optimistic about the future of electric mobility and has reaffirmed his view that increasing the adoption of electric vehicles is a necessary step to reduce the impact of climate change. He has also recalled the work carried out by the company’s engineers, which has allowed the Lucid Air to offer a range superior to that of its rivals.
