Lumma Design shows off its peculiar BMW X6 xDrive40d

Lumma Design is back, and that means the unveiling of a model as peculiar as the BMW X6 xDrive40d you have on screen, a very complete project that doesn’t only include aesthetic or interior upgrades. Perhaps the most appealing part, once again, is what you can’t see at first glance: the mechanical preparation.
First, let’s look at the model chosen for this project: a massive X6 xDrive40d, a huge SUV fitted with a large 3.0-litre diesel straight-six engine that, thanks to a twin-turbo system, delivers 306 hp and 600 Nm of peak torque to its owner.

Some will find that power excessive and others perhaps unexciting. If you belong to the second group, don’t worry: tuners like Lumma Design are always ready to add a bit more spark to your BMW. In this case, a new ECU and the fitting of a high-flow sports exhaust have raised the final output to 340 hp and 670 Nm of peak torque.
Leaving the mechanics aside, we once again find ourselves facing a huge body kit, where the least eye-catching element is the massive 22-inch alloy wheels fitted with 295/30 ZR22 tyres at the front and 335/25 ZR22 at the rear, or the new sport suspension lowered by 40 mm.

As for the body kit, as you can see in the photos, it is a much wider and more aggressive aerodynamic kit, mainly thanks to the bold design of elements such as the new front bumper with integrated LED daytime running lights, side skirts, front and rear wing arches, front splitter, extravagant rear diffuser, roof spoiler, darkened grilles…
It is a massive body kit that may even go unnoticed once you look inside, where the cabin is fully upholstered in black and white leather in equal parts, mixed with new interior trim in carbon fibre and aluminium.
