Major changes to the engine range of the Seat Altea, Altea XL and Altea Freetrack

Some changes have been introduced by Seat to the engine range fitted to the Altea, Altea XL and Altea Freetrack models. Unfortunately, some of the engines that equipped these models have disappeared, while the Start/Stop system has been added to another one.

Both the petrol and diesel engine ranges have been reduced. In the petrol line-up, two engines have disappeared: the 1.4 with 86 CV and the 1.8 TSI with 160 CV. In the diesel versions, the 1.9 TDI with 90 CV and the 2.0 TDI with 140 CV with 6-speed DSG gearbox have been discontinued.

Amid all these changes that have removed engines from the models mentioned, the good news is that the 1.2 TSI variant with 105 horsepower now features the automatic start-stop system Start/Stop. Consumption figures stand at 5.7 l/100 km.

For the time being, the Altea and Altea XL are on sale with just two engines, the 1.2 TSI and the 1.4 TSI with 125 CV, both with a five- or six-speed manual gearbox. The diesels are now available in three versions: the 1.6 TDI ECOMOTIVE with 105 CV and a five-speed manual gearbox, the 1.6 TDI with 105 CV and a seven-speed DSG gearbox, and the 2.0 TDI with 140 CV and a six-speed manual gearbox. As for the Altea Freetrack, buyers must settle for the 2.0 TDI diesel with a six-speed manual gearbox and all-wheel drive.

Prices have risen slightly by between 200 and 300 euros, so the price list is as follows:
