MANSORY Gronos 6x6: the most radical off-road version of the G63 is already here, with six wheels and 900 CV

In the incredible and exciting world of off-road vehicles, the Mercedes G-Class has always been a benchmark. However, last year MANSORY surprised everyone with the “MANSORY Gronos 4×4“, taking off-road capability to new levels. But now, with the impressive “MANSORY Gronos 6×6“, they not only raise the bar, but also elevate the off-road performance of this six-wheeled beast with all-six-wheel drive.

The MANSORY Gronos is not only an incredible piece of design, but also a technical feat. Kourosh Mansory, CEO of MANSORY Design & Holding GmbH, states: “We are proud of the quality and perfect craftsmanship of all the modifications, once again demonstrating our high level of expertise in body construction”.

Converting a standard Mercedes G63 into a double-cab pickup is carried out without losing the essence of the original design, with the option of installing custom carbon parts, giving each conversion a unique touch. The rear-hinged doors make access to the rear easier under the new motto “New Luxury Access“, with which they aim to make their vehicles as accessible as possible.

All this structural change, which is barely noticeable from the outside, involves considerable technical effort. The door mounts, from the B-pillar to the C-pillar, must be mirrored, and the door opening technology, including the handles, is repositioned to maintain the vehicle’s harmonious appearance. However, the protective devices against impacts in front of the bumpers, designed specifically for robust off-road use, clearly distinguish the “MANSORY Gronos 6×6” from other MANSORY G-Class conversion programs.

Chassis improvements

In the chassis area, the installation of an additional axle requires complex modifications, highlighting the incredible technical work of MANSORY’s engineers. A newly developed and greatly reinforced front axle, portal gears on all axles and lockable differentials in the longitudinal and transverse directions on the third additional axle are just some of the notable improvements.

A special chassis with high-performance dampers complements the technical standard of the “MANSORY Gronos 6×6”, resulting in a perfect package for maximum off-road mobility. In addition, the vehicle gains 250 mm in height and width.

Thanks to the chassis extension, the length of the vehicle increases and comes to an impressive 1,375 mm. But that’s not all: like all MANSORY G-Class conversions, it is available in an armored version on special request.

Tyres

The “MANSORY Gronos 6×6” can be delivered with road or off-road tyres, or, of course, with both sets if the customer wishes. For road tyres, “YN.5” rims measuring 10×22 are used with Pirelli “Scorpion ATR” tyres measuring 325/55 22.

For optimal off-road performance, off-road tyres measuring 37×12.50×20 are fitted on 9×20 rims. Thanks to an integrated tyre inflation system with a high-performance compressor and a control unit in the cabin, the air pressure in all six tyres can be adjusted to the terrain conditions at any time, without leaving the vehicle!

900 CV engine

Thanks to various modifications to the powertrain of its G-Class sibling, the “MANSORY Gronos 6×6” delivers an impressive 900 CV and 1,200 Nm of torque. Details such as a new turbocharger with higher boost pressure, a new intercooler and high-pressure fuel pumps, among others, boost the standard output to 315 CV (and an additional 400 Nm).

Refined interior

As with all complete MANSORY conversions, the interior can be freely chosen in terms of leather, colours, upholstery and carbon design. Details such as the roof lining with more than 3,000 LEDs, seat belts with the embroidered MANSORY logo, sporty aluminium pedals, a sporty leather steering wheel and beautifully stitched MANSORY leather floor mats make the “MANSORY Gronos 6×6” a unique vehicle that satisfies the customer’s wishes in every respect, including the interior.

All the interior changes to the “MANSORY Gronos 6×6” offer a unique environment for the highest demands, even in a vehicle designed for extreme off-road mobility.
