Maserati Ghibli Operanera and Operabianca, a special edition with Japanese influences
The trident brand has brought us a new limited special edition of its popular saloon, the Ghibli. A creation in collaboration with Hiroshi Fujiwara

Maserati has launched a new limited edition of its Ghibli in collaboration with Japanese artist Hiroshi Fujiwara, one of the first DJs to bring hip hop music to Japan, who also owns an urban-style clothing brand called Fragment, a label that plays a major role in today’s protagonists: the Ghibli Operanera and Ghibli Operabianca.
The collaboration between the Italian brand and the Japanese DJ took place thanks to the brand’s customisation department Maserati Fuoriserie, which we already showed you another of its creations recently.
The customisation programme has allowed the underground artist to create two configurations of the Ghibli under the influence of his brand: Fragment, which were presented in Tokyo.

The trend setter has chosen two units of the Ghibli in Granlusso trim as the basis for his creations and has configured two exclusive styles, contrasting with each other, that will be limited to just 175 units and that will be distributed worldwide.
Very elegant Maserati
The black colour of the Ghibli Operanera, in addition to being found on the exterior bodywork, can also be seen on the wheels, door handles and brake calipers. The interior also features high-quality leather and Alcantara upholstery matching the bodywork colour. There are also silver-coloured trim pieces and dark blue seatbelts, all of which make it clear that this is a very special car.

The grille is one of the main elements of the whole ensemble, with the trident of Maserati stamped in the centre and a specific Fragment badge, the brand of Hiroshi Fujiwara; the brand’s logo is also found on the C-pillar of the saloon. The 20-inch Urano matt black wheels are also specific to this limited special edition.
Another distinctive hallmark of this model is the code M157110519FRG beneath the iconic side gills of the Maserati. The first four characters of this code represent the Ghibli’s identification code, the following six numbers represent the date on which the Italian brand and Hiroshi had their first meeting, and finally the letters “FRG” are the initials of Fragment.

No mechanical configuration data available
The mechanical configuration is one of the mysteries surrounding these special editions, as they could be fitted with the four-cylinder hybrid option producing 330 CV, the 3.0 V6 version producing 350 CV, or the most powerful six-cylinder producing 430 CV, the 3.0 V6 diesel producing 275 CV or, finally, the jewel of the trident, the 3.8 V8 producing 580 CV.
The launch of the Ghibli Operanera and Operabianca will take place practically imminently. Maserati has not yet revealed anything about their price, so for the time being we can only speculate.
