Maserati GranTurismo Folgore: the long-awaited electric model from the trident reveals its performance in video

Following the first images published last April, the trident brand has just released a new video of its long-awaited Maserati GranTurismo Folgore, in which, in addition to fully revealing its design, the electric model’s staggering performance is shown.

Maserati’s plans to offer a zero-emission variant of each of its models by 2025 begin with the arrival of this GranTurismo Folgore, a fully electric coupé with room for up to 4 occupants, a design that equally combines elegance and sportiness, and performance of another level.

With all this, the Italian brand has revealed, over more than five minutes of video, the uncamouflaged design of its new model, with a silhouette that retains the characteristic DNA of the brand and the model, but with the new features that define its new design language.

Electrifying performance

As previewed at the launch of the Maserati Folgore initiative, the new electric GranTurismo will have performance that allows it to take on its most direct rivals with ease, since its more than 1,200 CV of power with all-wheel drive allow it to achieve 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.7 seconds and reach a top speed of 320 km/h.

The battery, housed where the transmission tunnel would normally be, gives it an even lower centre of gravity and, consequently, a more sporty look. In addition, this battery will have a capacity of around 105 kWh and can recharge 160 kilometres of range in just 10 minutes, a great advantage in terms of everyday usability.

Sonic brutality

One of the key points emphasised in the published video has been the sound of the new model which, despite being fully electric as you already know, has a soundtrack ideal for accompanying the whole, considering that we are looking at a true supercar.

The customisation possibilities will also be very extensive thanks to the Maserati Fuoriserie programme, which allows its customers to modify every last detail of each model to their taste.
