Deliver 9 MAXUS Family Furgonetas
Maxus joins the camper trend with the new Deliver 9 Cíclope Mencía
Maxus expands its range with a new version of its Deliver 9, the Cíclope Mencía, which can be ordered to order and ventures into the world of campervan conversion

Maxus, a British brand belonging to the vast Chinese SAIC group, ended the year with the start of sales in our country of the versatile T60 Max diesel pick-up, and begins the year in the same way, expanding its range with a new member that also targets one of the fashionable and increasingly growing sectors: that of campers.
Maxus’s range in Spain also includes professional vehicles such as the Deliver 9, a van with different chassis configurations that is available in both electric and diesel combustion engine versions. The latter will be the one chosen to create a version of the Deliver 9 called Cíclope Mencía, which is nothing more than a camper conversion that certainly hits the mark with a quality product aimed at a booming sector.

The Maxus Deliver 9 Cíclope Mencía takes its name from the British brand’s partnership with the Galician company Cíclope Camper, a firm with more than 20 years of experience in the camper conversion sector and specialised in transforming vehicles. Its work with Maxus will undoubtedly give them a great showcase, as their aim is to reach more customers not only through personalisation but also through series production.

To build this Deliver 9 Cíclope Mencía, Maxus has opted for the L3H2 body, which measures 5,940 mm in length and 2,530 mm in height, and features rear doors opening up to 270° and a large sliding side door. Moving to the cabin, it has adjustable seats, with the driver’s seat featuring a central armrest, ergonomic controls and buttons, a 12.3-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a high-definition rear camera. We must not forget its safety equipment, which includes active stability control, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, forward collision warning, 6 airbags, SOS emergency call and an intelligent alarm.

In the living area, Maxus and Cíclope have opted for high-quality materials, as demonstrated by the eye-catching natural stone-clad bathroom, which includes a retractable washbasin unit and a washbasin and shower tray made of Corian, with a bamboo floor. It also features a dry toilet signed by EcoKlos, and has been decorated with indirect LED lighting and forced ventilation. The kitchen features an induction hob and a worktop with an integrated sink, also in Corian, all combined with a well-thought-out storage space spread across four drawer units, two wall cabinets, several shelves and a base unit, finished with an 85-litre fridge.

Obviously, in a vehicle of this type, storage is very important alongside making the most of the space, so a wardrobe with a hanging rail, up to six overhead lockers, four shelves and a wide range of divided compartments have also been designed. On the technology side, it is equipped with USB sockets and 230 V outlets, a 150Ah lithium battery, auxiliary heating, a hot water system that runs on diesel or electricity, and a digital control unit with which all vehicle systems can be controlled via a Bluetooth connection from a mobile phone.

Mechanically, the Maxus Deliver 9 Cíclope Mencía uses a 2,000 cc turbodiesel engine with a power output of 150 CV and 375 Nm of torque, which is sent to the front axle through a manual gearbox. Its price for the Spanish market starts at 51,230 euros, with discounts included and a warranty of 5 years or 160,000 kilometres.
