Maybach and Mercedes have developed a new concept car where luxury and technology will go hand in hand

Mercedes-Maybach has once again shown its ingenuity, and we see it demonstrated with this concept car. It is a teaser showing a future luxury SUV.

Luxury is a characteristic that only a very small number of manufacturers can offer, but over time this trait has become more pronounced thanks to the arrival of new technologies, which are an essential element for making our car stand out above the average. Mercedes and Maybach have been working at this level since their creation and, since they began building vehicles together, luxury has grown exponentially. However, the German firm does not want to sit idle, so it has prepared a very interesting concept car.

Mercedes-Maybach can already be considered a single brand, since they are in charge of bringing out the most refined and luxurious side of the models of Mercedes, such as the S-Class or the G-Class. Even so, on this occasion the German firm wants to show us that it intends to go further, something it will achieve with the presentation of this prototype, which previews the features of a future SUV that is very special and unique.

To feed our curiosity and fuel our eagerness to learn the final result, Mercedes-Maybach has launched a teaser video on its Facebook page showing some details that will form part of this luxury SUV. The short film focuses mainly on the interior, where the brand concentrates its work to offer a cabin full of luxury and technology.

We can see that they use first-class materials everywhere: both the centre console and the steering wheel feature aluminium and leather inserts. At the same time, this design extends to other interior components, such as the rear seats, which display a futuristic design with some details that remind us we are sitting in a Mercedes-Maybach.

What has really caught our attention is that everything points to the concept car the German firm will present having a 2+2 seating layout in its cabin, something unusual in the SUV world but which will provide more comfort and interior space, a fundamental requirement in a vehicle of its class. At the same time, we can find certain components that are also present in production models, such as the steering wheel. This is a clear sign that Mercedes-Maybach does not intend to keep us waiting long to see the production model.

It will be at this year’s Beijing Motor Show when the firm unveils the final look of this prototype to the world, and gives us a preview of the next novelties we will see in its future models. Without a doubt, anticipation and the desire to meet this German concept car are rising sharply, but we will soon have our answers and be able to enjoy its presence.
